Account Creation
This function enables you to create accounts.
You can create accounts in the following channels in the system:
SAP Graphical User Interface (SAP GUI)
Business Application Programming Interface (BAPI)
Direct Input (DI)
The checks that run when changes are made are not dependent on the channel if you use the Business Data Toolset (BDT)

You create an account by assigning contract elements to a business partner.

When the system is processing an account creation, the corresponding release object and the various authorization objects have a controlling function for the program flow. For more information, see Authorization Administration in Account Management.

Note
The system generates a work item for the release process if the relevant Customizing settings have been made. For more information, see the Framework for the Principle of Dual Control (CA-GTF-TS-PDC) and SAP Business Workplace

You have created the master contract holder as an SAP business partner and assigned the business partner role of account holder and correspondence recipient.
To assign a different business partner to the account, you need to assign the different business partner with the business partner role of correspondence recipient.
You have set up the contract-managing organizational unit and made the dependent settings in Customizing for Account Management (FS-AM)
under .
You have chosen an account product whose product version status was Active
on the contract start date. To check this, choose Display Account Product
.
You have made the settings for the account number in Customizing for Account Management (FS-AM)
under . Note that these settings depend on the bank key assigned to the contract-managing organizational unit.
On the SAP Easy Access
screen, choose .
Specify the account identification data.

The account ID depends on the settings that you make in Customizing for Account Management (FS-AM)
, under . You cannot change these settings after you have created the first account.
Choose Continue
