 Editing Transaction Type Groups/Media

Use

On the Transaction Type Groups/Media tab page you edit combinations of transaction type groups and media depicted by the transaction type group/medium matrix.

In the Transaction Type Group/Medium Matrix group box you can activate or deactivate combinations of transaction type groups and media on the basis of the characteristics the account inherited from the product. You can also display the current transaction type group/medium matrix.

In the Posting Locks group box you can set posting locks on the account, as long as Posting Lock Management (FS-AM-PLM) is not active. If PLM is active, you can only set or remove a posting lock in the dialog channel by creating a PLM document. In the BAPI and direct input channels, however, you can edit posting locks even if PLM is active.

Prerequisites

The following prerequisites must be met in order to set posting locks directly on the account in the dialog channel:

  • You have defined posting locks.

For more information, see Customizing for Account Management (FS-AM) under Start of the navigation path Contract Management Next navigation step Account Next navigation step Define Posting Locks End of the navigation path.

  • Posting Lock Management (FS-AM-PLM) is not active.

You can determine whether or not Posting Lock Management is active in Customizing for Account Management (FS-AM) under Start of the navigation path Basic Settings Next navigation step Activate Special Components End of the navigation path.

For more information about the permitted and non-permitted combinations of transaction type groups and media predefined by the product, as well as on the position of the padlock, see Displaying an Account Product.
