Procedure documentationEditing Dependent Cards

On the Dependent Card tab page, you can edit and display basic data for the cards assigned to the account in various group boxes. Which data is available, depends on:

  • System settings in the product Customizing for Account Management

  • Editing mode (create, change, display)

  • Settings in the Business Data Toolset (BDT)

In the Embossed Data for Participant Cards group box, the data for particular fields that typically have the same contents for all participant cards is displayed to you.

The key data for the card holder is displayed in the Card Holder group box.

In the Checks group box, you can deactivate identification checks between the account and related cards.

Prerequisite

If the account holder and card holder are not identical, the card holder must have been created as a correspondence recipient if the account holder is created as a correspondence recipient. If this is not the case, the system displays an error message and terminates the card creation.

Procedure

In the Embossed Data for Participant Cards group box, note that the embossed name (line 1) and embossed name (line 2) are defined in the product. When you create a card, the system proposes a default value consisting of the first name and last name of the card holder in the Embossed Name (Line 1) . If this default value is longer than the maximum length of the Embossed Name (Line 1) field set for the product, the system issues a warning that the default value has been shortened, and the embossed name requires editing again before saving.
