Configure Custom Fields for Budget Tracking
To use budget tracking, you configure custom fields in Product Settings as you normally would when you use custom fields in Invoice and Expense.
The custom fields automatically become budget tracking fields and can be activated in Budget Items.
Field Behavior Settings
On the Manage Custom Fields page of Custom Fields, the admin sets the custom field behavior for multiple levels within the SAP Concur product. To use a custom field as a budget tracking field, at least one level of the SAP Concur product must have the field set to a behavior other than Hidden.
For example, if a company has the Subsidiary field marked as Hidden at all levels for Concur Expense, Budget will accept any value in the Subsidiary field for expense reports. To use the Subsidiary field as a budget tracking field for expense reports, one of the Concur Expense levels, or the Employee level, must be set to Required, Optional, or Read-Only.
The administrator can use this functionality to use a custom field as a budget tracking field in one SAP Concur product but not in another. If the administrator sets the behavior of the field at the Invoice levels to anything other than Hidden, the budget tracking will match against invoices but not expense reports.
