Component documentationPatient Organizer/Patient Viewer

The patient organizer is a central function in i.s.h.med, for organizing and supplementing medical patient data. The patient organizer comprises all data of the patient and is the electronic display of the patient record.

Note Note

The patient viewer is available for the documentation work station in SAP Ambulatory Care Management. The patient viewer generally corresponds to the patient organizer, but offers only display functions. You cannot change data in the patient viewer.

End of the note.

With the patient organizer/patient viewer you can display the electronic patient record in such a way that the patient information contained is prepared accordingly for various medical treatment situations.

Example Example

You wish to query all radiology information saved for the patient in the patient record.

End of the example.

The patient organizer/patient viewer consists of the following areas:

  • Header data for the case in the patient organizer

  • Function toolbar (for calling all possible functions)

  • Aspect toolbar (vertically and horizontally possible in the patient organizer)

  • Overview display: Overview of the selected medical objects in list or tree display

  • Detail display of medical objects (e.g. print preview)

The patient organizer replaces the patient history in i.s.h.med. The system now uses the patient organizer in all the application areas where the patient history was previously called.

You can continue to use the patient history instead of the patient organizer. Note, however, that the patient history is no longer being developed further.

Activate the patient history in the organizational unit-related parameter N1PH_AKT.

See Organizational Unit-Related Parameters for Patient Organizer

Implementation Considerations

In i.s.h.med the progress documentation is available, in addition to the outpatient clinic folder with outpatient notes and the inpatient progress report with progress notes and nursing notes, for entering and displaying notes concerning the treatment progress of a patient. If you configure the i.s.h.med progress documentation, you replace the outpatient clinic folder with outpatient notes and the inpatient progress report with progress notes and nursing notes. For more information, see i.s.h.med progress documentation.

Integration

You can call the patient organizer from the following view types in the clinical work station:

You can also call the patient organizer from the SAP Easy Access screen under Start of the navigation path Clinical System Next navigation step Patient Organizer End of the navigation path (transaction N1PATORG).
