Outpatient Clinic/Service Facility View Type
In order to have an overview of the number of patients to be treated at your outpatient clinic or service facility, you can use the Outpatient Clinic/Service Facility view type in the Clinical Work Station to configure worklists (Views).
Within the IS-H system you can implement the requirements of an outpatient clinic (appointment processing and visit overview); within the i.s.h.med system you can also implement the requirements of the service facility (clinical order, electronic request, planning) and various hybrids of this organizational form with the Outpatient Clinic/Service Facility view type.
As in the other instances of the Clinical Work Station (e.g. Care Unit Work Station), this data is displayed in tabular form. The Outpatient Clinic/Service Facility view type accommodates flexible sorting and lets you add filter conditions to the layout. In fact, you can sort and filter the table using any of the fields in the field list. The other processing options of the clinical work station are available to you.
In a typical outpatient clinic, much revolves around provisional appointments and the patient visits they result in. When an appointment is scheduled and the patient is admitted, the patient is put on the outpatient clinic’s waiting list. At this point in time, though, it is not necessarily known what course of treatment the patient will require, or indeed what future course of action will be pursued for the patient. You can find further information under Preregistration, Appointment Planning and Waiting List Management - Concept.
The main elements of the outpatient clinic/service facility work station are:
Booking appointments
Patient admission
Registration of patients
Admission of outpatients for inpatient treatment
Arrange follow-up visits for patients using integrated appointment scheduling
The selection screen contains the following tab pages for restricting the selected data:
Appointments and visits
Services
On the Appointments and Visits
tab page, you can enter the following general selection criteria:
Institution
Outpatient Clinic/Service Facility (multiple selection possible)
Addressed Person
You can restrict the view so that it only contains clinical orders that are addressed to a particular person. This enables you to create clinical order worklists for specific employees.
Room (multiple selection possible)
Room Missing
Treatment Physician (multiple selection possible)

Manual Input of Selection Criteria
Goal
The system administrator wishes to define a view that users can use for making their own selections.
Method:
If the user selects the view pushbutton, the system should not immediately display the Preregistrations view, but the selection screen should appear where the user enters the selection criteria to which the list of patients to be treated should refer.
Prerequisite
When configuring a view, the system administrator creates a selection variant in which the Man. Entry Sel
. indicator is set.
System Behavior
When the user calls the view, the selection screen will first appear. The selection data from the selection variant is displayed by default. The user can change the selection data, e.g. select a different treatment room. After changing the selection criteria you return to the view. The selections you have just made apply. These selections remain active throughout the session (in other words as long as you remain in the transaction). If you switch to a different view in the meantime, the settings remain in force.
Note
Using
(Basic Settings
) you can reset the temporary changes for a view.
The next time you start the clinical work station, the default selections made by the system administrator for the view apply anew.
Concerning appointments and visits, you can also enter the following selection criteria for the view:
Appointments Selection
group box
Organizational Unit (OU) of Appointment
As several items of a clinical order can point to one appointment, you can restrict the selection for appointments for items without services using the OU of the appointment. The OU of the appointment can be different to the treatment OU. In the appointment template for an order item or in appointment planning, you can enter an OU for the appointment.
Example
You request an endoscopic examination, e.g. an E.R.C.P., which requires a combined examination from the endoscopy and radiology departments. The examination is requested of the endoscopy department, but is actually planned and executed in the radiology department (OU of appointment).

Status
group box
On this tab page you can restrict the view using the visit status. You can select the visit status either manually or using the following pushbuttons:
Present: Restricts the visit status so that only present patients are displayed in the view.
Non-Present: Restricts the visit status so that only patients who are not yet or no longer present are displayed.
Planned: Restricts the visit status so that only patients for whom a visit is planned or who have an appointment are displayed.
On this tab page you can restrict the view using the services and clinical orders. Selection criteria include:

Cyclical Services
If you select this checkbox, the system will display the Date and Time columns for all cycle master services on a dark green background. Individual cyclical services (assigned to the cycle master service) are displayed on a light green background.
You can also use a hotspot in the Date
column for the displayed cycle master services or individual cyclical services. If you use the hotspot you will access the cycle report. The system will select all cycle master services with individual cycle services which fall within the selection period. The system will also select all cycle master services where the cycle is valid in the selection period and for which individual cyclical services could be created in the selection period. You can change the cycles.
Example
Cycle master service from 1.10., individual cyclical services for this cycle from 2.10. and 3.10., cycle valid until 30.10.
If you select the 2.10. without selecting the Cyclical Services
checkbox, the system will only display the individual cyclical service from 2.10. The date and time are not displayed on a green background. The hotspot is not available.
If you select the 2.10. and also select the Cyclical Services
checkbox, the system will display the cycle master service on a dark green background and the individual cyclical service from 2.10. on a light green background.
If you select the 5.10. and also select the Cyclical Services
checkbox, the system will only display the cycle master service on a dark green background.
If you select the 1.11., the system will no longer display the cycle master service. The selection date lies outside the validity of the cycle.
Item Status
The system displays the item status grouped according to the status profile. The Status
column is not filled for status profiles. You can select one or more status profiles or an individual item status. If you select a status profile all item statuses for this profile are selected. The system will select the services of all order items which correspond to the selected item status.
Service Status
You can restrict the selection using the item status and service status. In case of a combined selection, the system will display only the services of one or more service statuses, which belong to order items, with a status which corresponds to the selected item status. You can also restrict using the document status, in order to Check the Findings Documentation.
If you create a function variant for a view, which is based on the Outpatient Clinic/Service Facility view type, the system will provide a predetermined function selection.
This includes the following functions from the requests, visits, documents, transport order, services, surgeries, appointment management, vital signs, and environment areas:

You can incorporate the functions of the new medical service entry into views of the Outpatient Clinic/Service Facility
view type as an implementation of the Business Add-In (BAdI) N1_WP_LSTAMB
.
A specific field selection is available to you for each view type. Layouts enable you to define your own column sequence and sort order in relation to this field selection.
