Surgeries View Type
The Surgeries
view type is available in the clinical work station. Use the views of the Surgeries
view type to plan and document surgeries in i.s.h.med.
Due to the integration of the surgery area in the clinical work station, you can configure work stations for employees of operating facilities, which include inpatients, outpatients, and patients who require surgery.
The Surgeries
view type relates to surgeries in an i.s.h.med sense. These are surgery requests and clinical orders with:
Preregistered surgery order items
Ordered surgery order items
Views of the Surgeries
view type include:
OR Plan
Worklist
In the long-term, the Surgeries
view type will replace the surgery planning list and, even later, the OR schedule.
Note
The surgery planning list is still available. However, future development will only relate to the Surgeries view type. The user should not simultaneously use the views of the Surgeries view type and the surgery planning list; as some options in the Surgeries view type are not available in the surgery planning list (for example, planning authority).
You should note that the complete functionality for clinical orders is only available in the Surgeries
view type.
The following functions are connected to the Surgeries
view type:
Clinical Orders
Surgery Request
OR Schedule
Surgery Monitor
You must previously have entered the Basic Surgery Data in the system.
System administrators can configure selection variants to provide the user with the following selection fields for the selection screen:
Institution
Planning Period From – To
You can also use the following tab pages to provide further selection criteria for the view:
Planning
On this tab page you can select which surgery areas and corresponding rooms surgery planning should be available for in the view. The following selection fields are also available:
Work Station
You can select a work station , i.e. the view of the Surgeries
view type displays only the rooms which are assigned to the selected work station (as in the OR schedule). The selection of a work station also has an effect on the documentation of time stamps. The system will only display specific time stamps which are assigned to the work station. Also, you can only set these time stamps from the view. The selection of surgery areas and their corresponding rooms will not have an effect on a view, if you select the view by work station.
Selection of Surgeries According to Time Stamps
The system will only display the surgeries for which specific time stamps have been documented.
Display Patient Anonymously
Hide Days Without Planning Authority
For the selected planning objects, the system only displays the days on which planning authority exists for the planning organizational unit.
Manual Input of Selection Criteria
Goal
The system administrator wishes to define a view that users can use for making their own selections.
Method:
If the user selects the view pushbutton, the system should not immediately display the Surgeries view, but the selection screen should appear where the user enters the surgery areas to which the list of patients to be treated should refer.
Prerequisite
When configuring a view, system administration creates a selection variant in which the Man. Entry Sel. indicator is set.
System Behavior
When the user calls the view, the selection screen will first appear. The selection data from the selection variant is displayed by default. The user can change the selection data, e.g. enter a different planning period. After changing the selection criteria you return to the view. The selections you have just made apply. These selections remain active throughout the session (in other words as long as you remain in the transaction). If you switch to a different view in the meantime, the settings remain in force.
Note
Using
(Basic Settings
) you can reset the temporary changes for a view.
The next time you start the clinical work station, the default selections made by the system administrator for the view apply anew.

On this tab page you can restrict the view by sorting and filtering the worklist.
In order to use sort orders and filters, you must have set the No Planning Function

under .

Customer-Specific Data
With the Business Add-In (BAdI) N1_WP_OP
(EXIT_DISPLAY
method) you can override all fields of the Surgeries
view type. You can also fill additional customer-specific fields with this method. For more information, see the Implementation Guide
under .
Note
You can use the EXIT_PRINT
method of this BAdI to access the entire field selection of the view and the worklist and format a customer-specific printout. The supplied sample implementation calls a sample smart form (ISHMED_OPPLAN
).
The system automatically sorts the entries in the Surgeries
view type according to the following columns:
Date
Surgery Area or Surgery Area (Abbreviation)
Room or Room (Abbreviation)
Time
Note
The sort order of the views depends on which of the two columns for surgery area or room you display: If you display the column for the respective abbreviation, the system sorts the entries according to the abbreviation of the room or of the surgery area.
If you display the column for the identification (ID) of the room or of the surgery area, the system sorts the entries according to the respective internal room ID or the surgery area ID.
If you display the abbreviation and the ID for the room and/or the surgery area, by default the system sorts the entries according to the internal ID of the respective column.
System administration can use the Business Add-In (BAdI) N1_WP_OP
to override this sort order.
