The i.s.h.med progress documentation component is used to enter occupational group-related entries concerning the progress of the treatment of a patient in the outpatient and inpatient areas. The system clearly displays the progress entries entered for a patient in chronological sequence. You can filter the progress entries using the context information, such as the documenting organizational unit (OU), occupational group and category.

You require a license in order to be able to use the progress documentation. You can find information on this under License Keys for i.s.h.med Modules and Functionality.

Implementation Considerations

The progress documentation is also available in the following components:

  • Clinical Work Station (IS-HMED-BD-CWS)

    You can integrate the pushbuttons Enter Progress Entry (function code N1PDS1) and Display Progress Report (function code N1PDS2) in the views of the clinical work station and the nursing plan. The Progress Document column is available to you in the layout.

  • Patient Organizer (IS-HMED-MRO)

    The standard aspect Progress Documentation is available in the patient organizer. The progress documentation is included in the standard aspects Day, Week, Month, Quarter, Year, Case, Overall and Outpatient Clinic Folder.

  • Ward Documentation Work Station (IS-HMED-WM-DW)

    You can use the base item type Progress Entry of the PDS type in template management of the ward documentation work station.

  • Clinical Overview (IS-HMED-WM-CO)

    Progress documentation is available as an info block in the clinical overview.

  • Chart (Charting) (IS-HMED-CHA)

    The progress documentation is displayed in an event graph. The system displays an icon for each progress entry.

  • Nursing Process Documentation (IS-HMED-NRS)

    In nursing process documentation the progress documentation is available in, for example, the nursing plan, service processing and the Medication Events/Nursing Services views of the clinical work station.

  • Patient Profile (IS-HMED-SU-PP)

    You can display and enter progress entries in the patient profile as well as the integrated components patient record and smart chart.

  • Treatment (IS-H-ACM-TMT)

    You can use the progress documentation in the treatment component (IS-H-ACM-TMT) in SAP Ambulatory Care Management (IS-H).
