Modeling Guide

Import a Project

Import project from your local system to the workspace.

Procedure

  1. Start the SAP Data Hub cockpit in a Web browser.
  2. In the System Status section, choose the Modeling tile.
The cockpit opens the SAP Data Hub Modeling tool in a new tab in the same browser window. Use this tool to model SAP Data Hub objects such as destinations, data sets, tasks, and task workflows.
  3. In the workspace toolbar, choose (Add).
  4. Choose the Import Project menu option.
  5. In the Import Project dialog box, browse the file from your local system.
  6. In the Project text field, enter a new name.
  7. If you already have a project with the same name, you can merge or overwrite the project.

    Values

    Description

    Merge

Merges the design-time objects from the imported project with the existing content in the project.

    Overwrite

Overwrites all the content in the existing project with design-time objects from the imported project.

  8. If you want to activate the objects in the imported project, select the Activate Project checkbox.
You can successfully activate the project only if you have resolved all dependencies. For example, if you are importing a project with a data set, it is necessary that the existing project in your workspace contains the destination (with the same name) required to successfully activate the data set.
  9. Choose OK.
  10. In the navigation pane, right-click the project and choose Refresh.
