The following tables describe activities that are associated with pushbuttons on the predefined PODs.

Some activities have rules that allow you to change the way they behave. For more information, see field help for individual activities.

Standard and Integrated PODs

POD Pushbutton Activity

Activity ID

Description

Start

PR500

Starts the selected SFC numbers at the entered operation and resource, and displays them as selected in the Active Work list.

Validates that the selected resource is in a current state to process product and is not in the Pending status (see Start).

Start

PR505

Starts the SFC numbers associated with the entered material at the entered operation and resource, and displays them as selected in the Start by Material Task list. Used for high-volume environments (see Start by Material)

Complete

PR510

Completes the SFC numbers selected in the Active Work list and sends them to the next step on the routing. Resets the selected resource from Productive to the new Pending status when the last active SFC number is completed from the resource (see Complete).

Note Note

If you complete an SFC number that belongs to a process lot, you must remove it from the process lot first. The POD displays a message stating this. Choose the Complete pushbutton to remove the SFC number from the process lot and send it to the next operation on the routing.

Pass

PR510Q

Performs a Start and then a Complete transactions (see Pass)

Sign Off

PR520

Removes selected SFC numbers from the Active Work list and returns them to the Task list with the In Queue status.

Resets the resource from Productive to the new Pending status when the last active SFC number is removed from the resource (see Sign Off).

Data Collection

DC500

Displays additional fields in which the operator can enter information, such as room temperature or the thickness of a sample (see Data Collection (DC))

Note Note

When setting up a POD with DC500, sequence it after Start (PR500) and before Complete (PR510).

Assembly Point

CT500

Collects assembly data for a selected SFC number at selected operations for components to be assembled (see Assembly Point)

Process Lot

PR560

Allows the operator to create process lots, and to add SFC numbers to a process lot and remove them from it (see Process Lot)

Serialize

PR550

Creates new SFC numbers for a multipiece parent SFC number, such as a panel that the operator has broken apart (see Serialize)

Work Instruction Viewer

WI500

Allows the operator to view work instructions

You must set up work instructions in the system before users can view them (see Work Instruction Viewer).

SFC Report

TR500

Displays information about the selected SFC numbers (see SFC Report)

Log NC

NC500

Allows the operator to log nonconformance codes against one or more selected SFC numbers (see Log NC and NC Client Maintenance)

Pack/Unpack

PK030

Allows the operator to add or remove SFC numbers or containers to or from a specific container (see Packing)

SFC Merge

PR581

Allows the operator to combine SFC numbers (see SFC Merge)

SFC Quantity Adjustment

PR591

Allows the operator to increase or decrease the quantity of an SFC number (see SFC Quantity Adjustment)

SFC Split

PR571

Allows the operator to move quantity from an existing SFC number into new SFC numbers (see SFC Split)

Change User Password

EN066

Allows the operator to change the current password (see Change User Password)

Appears dimmed when the LDAP service is enabled

Confirm Components

CONFIRM_COMPONENT

Allows the operator to confirm that components assembled into a kit SFC number are the same components that are assembled on the top-level SFC number and have the same assembly data (see Component Confirmation and Check Confirm)

Shop Floor Change Request

SU620

Allows the operator to request production changes on the shop floor (see Shop Floor Change Request)

Display Buyoff

DISPLAY_BUYOFF

Allows the operator to display a buyoff (see Display and Log Buyoff)

Log Buyoff

LOG_BUYOFF

Allows the operator to log a buyoff (see Display and Log Buyoff)

Document Reprint

SY511

Allows the operator to reprint documents (see Document Reprint)

Unload CNC Program

UNLOAD_CNC_PLUGIN

Unloads a CNC/DNC program from the CNC server to the machine via the CNC system in the POD (see CNC Program Maintenance)

Change SFC Labor Charge Code

LT250

Changes the labor charge code of one or more SFC numbers

Note Note

You cannot change the SFC LCCs of SFC numbers if you enter a shop order number in the SFC field in the POD. You must enter a process lot number or select multiple SFC numbers.

Simplified Log Primary NC

NC515

Configures the Fast Barcode Interface (see Configuring Fast Barcode Interface)

ECO Processing

SU610

Executes the engineering change order (ECO) process for a selected SFC number at the selected operation

(see Engineering Change Order (ECO))

You can change the following settings for the ADJ_ORIG_SO_ BUILD_QTY_DOWN rule for this activity:

TRUE (default): Adjusts the original shop order build quantity down to the number of SFC numbers affected by the ECO once the ECO is activated

FALSE: Does not adjust the original shop order build quantity down when the ECO is activated

Transfer Work

LT390

Signs off the active SFC numbers from the primary operator's Active Work list and transfers them to the Active Work list of the other operator who has been labored on

Rich PODs

Description

Start

PR500_RICH

Starts a selected SFC number at selected operation to indicate that the SFC number is being actively worked on the shop floor

Complete

PR510_RICH

Completes a selected SFC number at selected operation to indicate that the SFC number has completed processing and is ready to be worked at the next operation

Note Note

If other users are currently working on the same operation of an SFC number, the Rich POD displays a message stating this and lets you choose whether to labor them off and complete the SFC number, or to cancel completing the SFC number. Choose OK to labor off the other users and complete the SFC number.

Sign Off

PR520_RICH

Places a selected SFC number at selected operations to indicate that the SFC number is no longer being actively worked on the shop floor

Note Note

If other users are currently working on the same operation of an SFC number, the Rich POD displays a message stating this and lets you choose whether to labor them off and remove the SFC numbers from the Work List or to cancel laboring them off. Choose OK to labor off the other users.

Data Collection List

DC500_RICH

Collects process data for a selected SFC number at selected operations (see Rich POD Data Collection)

Component List

CT500_RICH

Allows the operator to record information about the components consumed in an assembly in the Rich POD

Log NC

LOGNC_REJECT

Logs primary NC codes for a selected SFC number at selected operations to indicate that additional work must be performed at the same operation and to automatically reopen all previously closed buyoffs (see Rich POD Log NC Reject)

Buyoff Accept

BUYOFF_ACCEPT

Performs buyoff of a selected SFC number at selected operations to indicate that the user has completed processing and the SFC number can be approved by another user or is ready to be worked at the next operation (see Buyoff Accept)

Labor On

LT370_RICH

Logs the user as joining one or more operators working on an SFC number at the same operations in the Rich POD

Labor Off

LT380_RICH

Allows the user working with one or more operators on an SFC number to unlog working on the operations for the SFC number in the Rich POD

The SFC number remains in work until it is completed or signed off by the last operator.

WI List

WI510_RICH

Displays the list of work instructions in the Rich POD (see Work Instruction and Work Instruction Viewer)

Tool List

TOOL_DISPLAY

Displays the list of tools in the Rich POD (see Rich POD Tool Display)

Supervisor Work Assignment

PR610_RICH

Allows the supervisor to assign operations to be performed on an SFC number to the available operators within the work center in the Rich POD (see Rich Supervisor Work Assignment)

Rich POD Collect Parent Serial Number

PR555_RICH

Collects the parent serial number of the parent production order for a selected installation order SFC number (see Collect Parent Serial Number)
