You use this activity to indicate that an SFC number that was in the Active state and was in work has been placed back in a queue at the same operation. This occurs either because of conditions about the shop floor operator, the operation, the resource, or the priority of a shop order to be built.

This activity resets the resource selected from productive to the new Pending status when the last active SFC number is removed from the resource through this action. This status occurs because the system has received a message from SAP Plant Maintenance that the resource is scheduled for preventive maintenance because of a measurement point usage counter. No further SFC numbers can be started at the operation until the preventive maintenance is completed.

It changes existing data because SFC numbers in the queue at an operation that may use this resource for processing cannot be started until the preventive maintenance process is completed. The SFC number will need to be processed on a different resource for the selected operation. If no other resource is available, the product waits until the resource is in a productive status.
