To split SFC numbers, proceed as follows:
In the Qty to Split field, enter the quantity to split from the SFC number shown in the SFC field.
Note
If SFC Split appears after you choose Log NC, the Qty to Split field is display only, and shows the quantity of SFC numbers you are nonconforming.
In the New SFC field, enter the number you want the system to use to identify the new SFC number created by the split.
Note
If the AUTOMATIC_ID_GENERATION activity rule is set to TRUE, the system automatically generates new SFC numbers using the SFC pattern in Next Number Maintenance. The operator cannot assign new SFC numbers.
Choose Split in the lower part of the POD screen.
Note
To split an additional quantity from the SFC number identified in the SFC field, repeat steps 1 through 3.
The system performs the split and displays information about the new SFC number in the table. The system adds a row each time you split an SFC number off the parent SFC number.
