You can use various standard features throughout most application components.

Note Note

You work with the components using the buttons provided by the application rather than the buttons provided by the browser window. For example, do not use the browser's Back, Forward, Refresh or Reload buttons because you will receive unexpected results that are not intended by the application.

Prerequisites

You have Create Comments permission to use the Add link in the Comments section and the New or Reply button in the Comments dialog box. This permission is provided by your strategy management administrator.

You have access to the Home component to see the Mark this page link. This access is provided by your strategy management administrator.

Features

You can use the following standard features in any component:

What you need to know

Select a different context to work with the objects for that context

From the Context drop-down list, select the context.

For more information, see Context Selection.

View all the contexts and tabs available to you and quickly go to a different context and/or tab.

Click Context Map.

For more information, see Context Map.

View comments about a selected item or any other item

Click View.

Comments help you document information that may be important to share that is not covered in the item's description.

For more information, see Reviewing Comments and Replies About an Item.

View unread comments about an item

Click the Notation pushbutton.

The number represents the number of unread comments.

Add comments or replies about a selected item

Click Add.

Filter comments

For more information, see Filtering Comments.

Print a view

Click Print.

For more information, see Printing a View.

Mail a view

Click Mail.

For more information, see Mailing a View.

Export items to Word or Excel

Click Export.

Set preferences about how you want aspects of the application to appear at startup

Click Preferences.

Go to other application components

Click the component tab.

Add a view as a bookmark link in the Home component

Click Mark this page.

Refresh comments, initiatives, and Home alerts

Click Refresh.
