You can view comments and replies across all comment types.

If there are over 100 comments and replies about the selected object, it may take a little while for the comments and replies to appear.

Procedure

You can do the following with comments anywhere in the application:

What you need to know

Review unread comments about an item

If you see a Notation pushbutton, click it.

The Comments dialog box appears with unread comments about the item.

The number represents how many unread comments have been written about the selection.

Review comments and replies

Click View to display Comments dialog box with all comments about the current item. This link does not appear in every component.

You see only the comments and replies that you created or that another user created and gave you access to via the user's group selections.

Review comments and replies from a different context

Click View to display Comments dialog box. Then click a context from the Context drop-down list.

Review comments and replies about a particular object in this component or another component

Click View to display Comments dialog box. Then select the type of object from the Type drop-down list. Then select the specific object from the next drop-down list.

Filter comments

Click View to display Comments dialog box. Then click one or more filters.

You can filter by expired comments, comments created during a certain date range, comments expiring during a certain date range, comments created by a particular author, and/or comments containing a particular keyword.

Comments that expire do not appear in the Comments dialog box unless you select the Include expired filter option.

Control the display of filter options

In the Comments dialog box, display all filter options by clicking the More Filters button. Collapse the list by clicking the Less Filters button.

Reset filters

In the Comments dialog box, click Reset Filters.

All filters reset to their original settings.

Select a comment’s associated links

In the Comments dialog box, select the comment. In the footer section, click on any of the associated links.

The URL is displayed in a new browser window.
