If you are responsible for coordinating translation into one or more target languages in the system, then the translation environment provides you with a number of functions that enable you to coordinate more efficiently. Depending on your authorizations, you can:
Use worklist management to access a translator’s worklist.
For example, you can display and then reset the worklist of a translator who has fallen ill, to enable another translator to reserve and then edit the objects in his or her worklist instead.
Reset the worklists of one or more translators into one or more target languages.
For example, if you coordinate translation into French, you can reset the worklists of all French translators at once.
Translate objects via the worklist pool.
For example, if you coordinate translation into Simplified Chinese, you can use the worklist pool to access objects that are already reserved in a Chinese translator’s standard worklist.
Delete obsolete object lists and/or evaluations.
You can schedule a report to delete obsolete object lists and/or evaluations in transaction LXE_MASTER, which can be useful if you regularly create object lists and/or evaluations in your translation system, resulting in a high number of both.
Delete worklists.
You can empty obsolete worklists of all objects, or delete them completely.
Delete the collection buffer.
If the buffer is full, you can use this function to clear it of any collections that translators have stored there temporarily.
Assign object lists, transport requests, and local lists for translation.
For example, you can assign a transport request for translation into Spanish so that a Spanish translator can use it to create an on-the-fly worklist.
Delete superfluous domain standards.
You can run a report to delete superfluous domain standards, which is advisable before transporting the proposal pool from one system to another.
Change the maximum duration of generic searches in transaction SLPP.
For example, you can shorten the maximum duration of generic searches in transaction SLPP if your system is experiencing performance problems.
