Deleting Obsolete Object Lists and EvaluationsLocate this document in the navigation structure

Prerequisites

  • You have created object lists and/or evaluations in transaction LXE_MASTER.
  • You are authorized to use transaction SE38 to run reports in the background.

Context

You can execute report RS_LXE_DELETE_OL_WL to delete obsolete object lists and/or evaluations in transaction LXE_MASTER. This is particularly useful if you create object lists and/or evaluations on a regular basis in your translation system, resulting in a high number of both.
Note

Note that the report enables you to delete object lists and evaluations, but not worklists.

Procedure

  1. Call transaction SE38.
  2. In the Program field, enter RS_LXE_DELETE_OL_WL.
  3. Choose Execute. The Delete Obsolete Object Lists and Evaluations screen appears.
  4. If you want the report to delete object lists, select the Delete Object Lists checkbox and maintain the parameters in the Object Lists group box as follows:
    • Older Than <x> Days: the report only deletes object lists that are older than the number of days that you enter in this field.
    • Object List Type (optional): if you enter nothing in this field, the report deletes normal object lists (object list type N) and special object lists (object list type S). If you want the report to delete one object list type only, use the input help to select the object list type that you want to delete.
    • Exclude from Deletion: this field enables you to specify object lists that must not be deleted by the report.
  5. If you want the report to delete evaluations, select the Delete Evaluations checkbox and maintain the parameters in the Evaluations group box as follows:
    • Older Than <x> Days: the report only deletes evaluations that are older than the number of days that you enter in this field.
    • Exclude from Deletion: this field enables you to specify evaluations that must not be deleted by the report.
  6. If you want the report to list the object lists and/or evaluations that it would delete if you were to execute it, select the Test Only (Count Candidates) checkbox. If you do not select this checkbox, the report deletes object lists and/or evaluations. You cannot undo these deletions.
  7. To execute the report just once, or to schedule the report to run on a regular basis (such as once a week), choose Start of the navigation path Program Next navigation step Execute in Background End of the navigation path and execute the report accordingly.

Results

The report deletes object lists and/or evaluations in LXE_MASTER in accordance with the parameters that you maintained.
