Use

As a coordinator, you can use worklist management to display and change a translator's worklist. For example, you can reset the worklist of a translator who has fallen ill, to enable another translator to reserve and then edit the objects in his or her worklist instead.

Prerequisites
  • In transaction Translation Administration (LXE_MASTER) , you have been defined as a translator for the required target language.

  • If you merely want to display the current worklists of translators whose work you coordinate, your translator profile needs the authorization object TRAD with the value 01.

  • If you want to change the current worklists of translators whose work you coordinate, your translator profile needs the authorization object TRAD with the value 02.

Procedure
  1. Call transaction Initial Screen: Translation Editor (SE63).

  2. Choose Start of the navigation path Worklist Next navigation step Worklist Management End of the navigation path.

The Choose Target Language dialog box appears. It lists the target languages for which you are defined as a translator in LXE_MASTER.

  3. Select the translator's target language.

The Reservation Numbers dialog box appears.

    Note

The translation environment automatically assigns a reservation number to a translator when he or she creates a worklist in transaction SE63. An active reservation number prevents the translator from creating two worklists for different language directions (such as from German to English, and from English to German) at the same time, which would cause technical problems.

  4. Choose Expand.

The target language that you selected in step 3 appears, followed by a list of all translators with an active reservation number for this target language.

    Note

The following information appears to the right of each translator’s name:

    • The target language of the translator’s worklist
    • The source language of the translator’s worklist
    • The worklist number
    • The reservation number

    For example:

    • MILLERSTE enUS deDE 0001 000003

    • RADCLIFFE enUS frFR 0001 000015

  5. Select the translator whose worklist you want to access.

    Note

If the message No worklist found appears, it means that the translator you selected does not have any objects in his or her worklist at this time, even though the translator has an active reservation number for the target language.

Result

The Worklist Management: <source language> to <target language> for <translator> screen appears.

If your translator profile includes authorization object TRAD with the value 01, you can see which objects are currently reserved in the translator’s worklist, but you cannot change the worklist.

If your translator profile includes authorization object TRAD with the value 02, you can change the translator’s worklist. For example, you can reset the worklist by choosing Start of the navigation path Back Next navigation step Reset Worklist End of the navigation path.
