Resetting One or More Translators' WorklistsLocate this document in the navigation structure

Prerequisites

  • In transaction Translation Administration (LXE_MASTER), you have been defined as a translator for the required target languages.

If you have been defined as a translator for all languages ****, you can reset worklists for more than one target language at once.

  • Your translator profile must include the authorization object REWL.

    • If your profile includes authorization object REWL with the value 01, you can only reset the worklists of translators who belong to the same translator team as you.
    • If your profile includes authorization object REWL with the value 02, you can reset the worklists of all translators.

Context

There are situations in which you, as a coordinator, may need to reset the worklists of translators whose work you coordinate. For example, if a translator has fallen ill, you can reset his or her worklist to enable another translator to reserve and then edit the objects in his or her worklist instead.

You can use worklist management to display and then reset the worklist of one translator at a time.

As an alternative, you can use the reset worklists function in transaction Translation Administration (LXE_MASTER) to reset the worklists of one or more translators into one or more target languages at once.

Procedure

  1. Call transaction Translation Administration (LXE_MASTER).
  2. On the Translators tab, choose Reset Worklists.

The Choose Target Language dialog box appears. It lists the target languages for which you are defined as a translator in LXE_MASTER.

  3. Select the target language for which you want to reset worklists.

If you select a specific target language, the Reservation Numbers dialog box appears for the language that you selected.

If you are defined as a translator for all languages ****, and if you select target language ****, the Reservation Numbers dialog box appears for all languages.

  4. Choose Expand.

The system displays a list of translators with an active reservation number for the target language. If your translator profile includes authorization object REWL with the value 01, the list consists only of translators who belong to the same translator team as you. If your translator profile includes authorization object REWL with the value 02, the list consists of all translators into the target language that you selected.

    Note

The following information appears to the right of each translator’s name:

    • The target language of the translator’s worklist
    • The source language of the translator’s worklist
    • The worklist number
    • The reservation number

    For example:

    • MILLERSTE enUS deDE 0001 000003
    • RADCLIFFE enUS frFR 0001 000015
  5. Select the translator or translators whose worklists you want to reset. To select several translators at once, select a node to which they are all assigned.
  6. Choose Execute.

Results

The selected translators’ worklists are reset.

The Translation Administration popup tells you how many worklists were reset.
