Drug Management
In drug management you can edit drugs which have already been created or imported into the internal drug catalogs (formulary) or save drugs in internal catalogs.

Note
Note that drugs and their relevant information are not part of the SAP transports between systems.
Integration
The system uses the drug properties edited in drug management in the ordering, preparation and administration of drugs or prescription printing to control the system behavior and screen display.

Features

Drug management is used to create or edit the master data of a drug and the assign drugs to different drug levels in order to create a drug hierarchy, which has a significant effect on the further use of the drugs in medication orders and events.
Various functions are available to you in drug management for managing assignments:
Moreover, drug management provides the following functions for creating drugs or order templates, and for editing agents, fill sources, and the management of order templates assignments.
Display Using Drug Search
You can use this function to select drugs using the drug search and transfer them into drug management for further processing, irrespective of the entries on the initial screen of drug management.
Change Using Drug Search
You can use this function to select drugs using the drug search and transfer them into drug management for further processing, irrespective of the entries on the initial screen of drug management.

On the drug management selection screen (initial screen
) you can use the selection criteria to build a sort of worklist (of selected drugs) which you can then use to display and edit the drugs.
The selection criteria are thematically grouped in the following group boxes:

You can preset the drug catalog (Catalog field) to be used with the user parameter
N1ME_CAT
.Note that it is only possible to enter an external catalog and external mnemonic as additional selection criteria to the entry of an internal catalog. The system selects the drugs of the internal drug catalog according to the specified references on the Catalog tab page of the drug master.

to integrate customer-specific selection criteria for determining the worklist.
Once you have entered the selection criteria the following processing functions are available for existing drugs:
