Certificate Error

The page cannot be displayed due to a problem with the server certificate.

  • The server's SSL certificate is self-signed.
  • The CA root used to sign the server certificate is unknown.
  • When using Fiori with SAP Mobile Platform (SMP), SSO is not properly configured between SMP and Fiori.
Contact your help desk and provide them with the following information:
  • Error cause
  • Certificate information

Server's Certificate not Trusted: the CA that signed the <given URL> is not trusted by your device.

  • The certificate is not signed by a trusted CA.
  • The CA's certificate is not installed on the device.

Verify that the server has its certificate signed by a trusted CA, and that CA's certificate is located in the certificate store on the device.

Server's Certificate Common Name Does Not Match URL Used: the common name used by the server certificate does not match the URL <url> used to access it.

  • An IP address is used for the Fiori URL rather than a fully qualified domain name.
  • The server certificate is configured incorrectly.

Verify that the Fiori URL contains the fully qualified domain name (FQDN).

The page cannot be found

The page that you are looking for might have been removed, had its name changed or is temporarily unavailable.

  • The SAP Fiori URL is invalid or unreachable.
  • A proxy firewall is preventing the SAP Fiori Client from connecting with the Fiori server.
  • The Fiori server is unreachable through the configured wi-fi network.
  • The is a network coverage issue.
  • Verify the SAP Fiori URL.
  • Verify that the device has proxy settings if required.
  • Verify the available wi-fi networks.

No Network: network is currently not available.

Network connectivity.

The SAP Fiori Client loads once connectivity is available.

Unable to Reach Host: unable to reach the host <hostname>.

  • The server is on a different network than the network currently being used.
  • A proxy server is being used and the device does not have proxy settings.
  • Verify the server hostname.
  • Verify that the device has proxy settings.

Server is down: unable to reach the server on port <port number> on <hostname>.

  • The port and hostname are incorrect.
  • The SAP Fiori server is stopped.

Verify that the port is correct and that the SAP Fiori server is started.

Timeout: a timeout occurred while accessing <fiori url>.

Network connectivity.

Check your network connectivity, and, if the network strength is low, reload the application when in an area with better strength.

400 Bad Request

  • Incorrect syntax in the URL.
  • Broken or dead link.

Verify that the syntax in the URL is correct.

401 Unauthorized

Occurs if you provide the incorrect user name or password repeatedly.

Verify that the username and password are correct.

404 Not Found

  • Mistyped URL.
  • Broken or dead link.

Verify that the URL is correct.

500 Internal Server Error

The server encounters an unexpected condition and is unable to specify the root cause.
