What's New in SAP Fiori Client 1.8

Data Collection (Android, iOS, and Windows)

To help improve and optimize the performance of SAP Fiori Client, you can now opt-in to data collection of SAP Fiori Client application statistics. Information such as what device you're using, the device model, the operating system the device is running, and how long you use SAP Fiori Client each time you log on is collected and made available to your system administrator. You can choose to opt out at any time.

For more information, see Data Collection.

Fingerprint Authentication (Android, iOS)

For devices equipped with fingerprint recognition, you can now unlock your SAP Fiori Client application using fingerprint authentication. In addition to setting a passcode, this added layer of protection ensures that only you are able to unlock SAP Fiori Client on your mobile device. To use fingerprint authentication, the Android device must support fingerprint recognition and be running Android 6 or later, and your iOS device must support Touch ID and be running iOS 9 or later.

For more information, see Passcode Screen.

QR Code Scanner for Onboarding (Android, iOS)

When configuring SAP Fiori Client for the first time, you can now use the native SAP Fiori Client QR code scanner to start the onboarding process.

For more information, see SAP Fiori URL.
