Task Creation

Use

TRM creates a pool of tasks based on information received from LES . These tasks are ultimately assigned to resources for execution.

Activities

  1. LES submits requests based on reference documents, such as transfer ordersand waves, to TRM via Request Management .

    Note Note

In cases where you want non-logistics internal activities, such as cleaning, to be traced in the system, you can create requests independent of LES. For more information, see the IMG for Start of the navigation path Logistics Execution Next navigation step Task and Resource Management Next navigation step Tools Next navigation step Maintain Requests Without Reference to External System. End of the navigation path

    End of the note.
  2. Request Management’s scheduler releases available requests and forwards them to Task Management .

  3. After querying Route Management, Task Management creates tasks based on the route options with the highest average priorities. The tasks are placed in the Task Pool table, while the tasks and appropriate resource types are placed in the Task by Resource Type table.

Example

Request Management forwards a request to move a handling unit from A to B. Assuming the best route option routing strategy has been chosen, the possible routes are straight from A to B, or via the P&Ds C or D. The system determines the following route options and their respective priorities:
