End Of Day - 012302

This section describes the carrying out of an automatic day-end closing (automatic EOD) on the POS Server. It is performed in a time-controlled manner.

Upon reaching the validity time of the enabled automatic EOD, the processing of the automatic EOD is called.

This function is used to display the status of the automatic day-end closing (automatic EOD). Depending on the configuration, the automatic EOD can be configured manually by this function or only by the store-specific configuration.

If the automatic EOD will be manually configured by this function, then it is also possible to enable the automatic EOD (if it is inactive) or to disable it (if it is active).

The function is called at the end of the accounting of a business day or another fixed business period in a store.

The process is described in Day-End Closing Process - 01230202405. This function includes all relevant end-of-day operations which can be configured.

Delete operations will be performed independently of this end-of-day process and will be periodically called. A detailed description can be found in Reorganization - 01250202406.

This section describes the functionality of the POS Server during the day-end closing (EOD). The EOD is called manually by the user on the Backoffice Client. Depending on the accounting type (daily and rolling drawer accounting / subsequent accounting), 'standard EOD' steps or the 'preliminarily EOD' steps will be performed.

This function will be called for the manual accounting of the store. A preliminarily closed store reporting period, which was accounted, will be closed and the store report will be displayed (see Store Report - 01200200053).
