If you want to create top texts on the basis of an object list, then you must create an object list in transaction LXE_MASTER. If you want to create top texts on the basis of more than one object list, you need to merge them first.
If you want to create top texts on the basis of a worklist, then a worklist must be available for each target language for which you want to create top texts.
For more information, see Creating Evaluations.
When you create top texts for an object list or worklist, the system scans the source texts and then creates top text objects containing the source texts that match your selection criteria. The source texts are sorted according to the frequency with which they occur in the objects in the object list or worklist.
Translators process these top text objects, and create proposals with quality status A Flag for Distribution for as many unambiguous source texts as possible. You can then start an evaluation with automatic distribution to distribute these proposals and reduce the manual translation workload.
Providing that source texts matching your selection criteria exist in the object list or worklist, the report creates top text objects containing the appropriate source texts, which are sorted according to how frequently they occur.
The spool displays the technical names of the top text objects created by the report. The technical names of the top text objects are structured as follows:
<Source Language><TOP><DEMS object name><Target language><Domain><Sequential number>
For example, the following information can be derived from the DEMS object name deDE-TOP__C-INITIAL_FR-frFR-R-BC------------0002:
The object contains German (deDE) source texts
It is a TOP text object
You entered INITIAL_FR in the DEMS Objects Name field when you maintained the report parameters
It was created for target language French (frFR)
It contains source texts found in objects belonging to the Basis (BC) domain
It is the second top text object that was created by the report
You can now trigger top text processing.
