Processing Top Texts in an On-The-Fly Worklist

Prerequisites

When you create the top texts, you must select the Create DEMS Object List checkbox as described in Creating Top Texts.
You must be defined as a translator for the target language of the top text objects that you want to process.
Your translator profile in transaction LXE_MASTER must include authorization object TRW2 with the value 01, 02, or 03.
To refresh the translation status of the top text objects in your on-the-fly worklist, your translator profile must include authorization object AVUP with the value 01.
To deactivate the language settings when creating an on-the-fly worklist, your translator profile must include authorization object TRF2 with the value 01.

Context

Transaction SE63 enables you to create an on-the-fly worklist on the basis of an object list containing top text objects for a specific combination of source and target language. Using the on-the-fly worklist, you can process top text objects without having to set up the translation environment first.

Procedure

Call transaction SE63 and choose Worklist Create .

The My Worklist: Parameters dialog box appears.
In the Language Pair group box, set the source language and target language.
In the Worklist group box, do not change the default value in the Worklist Number field.

Note
The worklist number applies to standard worklists, not to on-the-fly worklists, so this parameter is irrelevant.
The My Worklist: Parameters dialog box informs you if an active worklist already exists. If this is the case, select the Reset active worklist and create new worklist radio button.

Note
If an active worklist already exists, it means that a standard worklist has been generated in the system, and that you have reserved objects in your standard worklist. It is not possible to reserve objects in a standard worklist and simultaneously create an on-the-fly worklist, which means you must reset your active worklist.
Choose Enter.

The Create Worklist screen appears.
Select the Object List tab.
If your translator profile includes authorization object TRW2 with the value 03, you are authorized to select any object list in the system. Use the input help for the Object List field to select the object list whose top text objects you want to process.

Note
In the Object List dialog box that now appears, all of the object lists that contain top text objects are listed under the S node. S stands for special object lists. Select the object list that contains the top text objects for your combination of source and target language. The source and target languages are both included in the description of each special object list containing top text objects.

Note
If your translator profile includes authorization object TRW2 with the value 01 or 02, then the Object List field already contains an entry and you cannot change it. If the entry is incorrect, inform your translation coordinator who must then assign the correct object list for translation.
If your translator profile includes authorization object TRW2 with the value 02 or 03, you are authorized to deselect the Deactivate Selection checkbox. Do not deselect the checkbox.

Note
If your translator profile includes authorization object TRW2 with the value 01, then the Deactivate Selection checkbox is selected and you cannot change this setting.
Do not select the Deactivate Original Language Check checkbox.
Select the Deactivate Language Settings checkbox. This enables you to create an on-the-fly worklist even if you have not set up the translation environment.
Do not select the Deactivate Exceptions checkbox.
Do not select the Calculate Top Texts checkbox.
Choose Load Objects.

Results

The system finds the top text objects in the specified object list, and lists them in a temporary worklist. You can now process them via the worklist in accordance with Processing Top Texts.

Note

The translation status of the top text objects in your on-the-fly worklist is not displayed. If you want to see the translation status of some or all of the objects, select a node in the worklist structure and choose Start of the navigation path Utilities Next navigation step Refresh Status End of the navigation path . The system displays the translation status of all top text objects assigned to the selected node. This function is performance-intensive, so you are advised to avoid refreshing the status of too many objects at once.
