Provisions Packages (Logistical Requirements) The planning of material equipment and the supply of individual and bulk consumable goods that a force element requires in order to perform its tasks/missions.
In order to perform their tasks, the organizational elements of armed forces, police, and aid organizations require material in the form of individual and bulk consumable goods . These are materials that are needed once as initial supplies for an operation , and whose stocks should not fall below a defined reorder point once subsequent supplies are being provided.
In order to use materials management processes to equip the organizational elements with the material resources they require, you map the required consumable goods as logistical requirements for the force element by means of provisions packages (PPAs). See also Assigning Material Objects .
The actual material is managed as provisions in the provisions storage locations assigned to the force element (see also Provision Element ).
Various materials management processes , in particular the initial and subsequent supply of consumable goods, can be controlled on the basis of defined logistical requirements.
