Editing Conditions
You edit conditions in the Condition Details
screen area. The procedure is the same for editing standard conditions and individual conditions.
Note
For more information about the screen layout and the screen areas in condition editing, see Editing Conditions under Scope of Functions.
You have defined a condition group in the transaction Editing Condition Group
(F9COGR2
), in which you want to create standard conditions. The system displays the condition details screen area.
You have called up the Financial Conditions
tab page in contract editing and want to create an individual condition. The system displays the condition details screen area.
Choose Create Condition
.
Note
You can create individual conditions in existing contracts at any time as long as they are allowed for the contract. You can create a new standard condition in existing condition groups at any time.
If you want to use a standard condition as a template when creating an individual condition, you can choose Copy Condition
. You can accept the default values or overwrite them.
On the upper part of the condition detail screen, define the header data of the condition, which is the same on all tab pages of the validity period.
Enter the following time-independent condition characteristics:
Enter a condition description.
You can enter a condition currency.
For more information about the dependencies of currencies in conditions, see Currencies in Conditions.
Enter a Valid From
date. You can enter a Valid-To
date.
For more information, see Validity Period.
You can enter an assignment reason to justify the creation or change of a condition.
If the condition type for the condition to be edited is assigned with differentiation categories, you can edit more differentiation fields.
For more information, see Differentiation Category.
Enter a replacement category when you edit individual conditions. This defines the category of individual condition that you want to create. You can choose the replacement categories that are allowed on the Set of Rules
tab page.
For more information, see Editing Financial Conditions under the Procedure section.
The individual, time-dependent condition characteristics are different for every condition type and are valid for a specific validity period.
Enter these condition characteristics in the lower part of the condition details screen area in the following tab pages or group boxes:
Save your entries.
Double-click an existing condition so that you can edit the condition details.
Note
If you double-click a standard condition in contract editing, you can display the condition only. It is only possible to edit individual conditions here. To do so, you double-click the relevant condition.
You make the necessary changes to the condition in the same way that you create a condition.
Changes made to an already used condition can be restricted to an application and a condition group category. For more information, see the Use section of Condition Group Category.
The relevant application determines what is considered to be used. A condition is classified as used if it has a used until date
, which means that it has at least one used validity period.
Example
Account Management (FS-AM) provides the date of the last settlement where the condition was used as the used until
date. This date is always zero in Bank Analyzer
as it does not use a used until
date.
You can only change the condition header dates if the condition does not have a used validity period. This means that all validity periods for the condition have a valid-from
date that is on or after the used until
date.
If the valid-from
date of at least one validity period is before the used until
date, you can only change the valid-to
date of the validity period. You can create a valid-to
date that is after the used until
date. This means that this validity period is also valid on the used until
date.
You can create a new validity period for an existing condition by choosing the following pushbuttons next to the Assignment Reason
field:
Create Period
The majority of the fields on the entry screen do not contain any entries.
Copy Period
The fields on the entry screen contain the current values of the condition. This makes it easier to enter a condition of the same condition type. The selected condition item will be copied, and you simply have to enter the valid-from
date and other changes (such as the new interest rate or a new interest calculation method).
For more information, see Validity Period.
Choose Delete Period
.
Note
You can only delete a period if the system has not used it yet. If you do not want to use a condition any longer, you can enter a valid-to
date.
