Switching Resources

Use

You can reassign a task or task bundle assigned to a deactivated or non-operational resource by switching resources from your presentation device.

This function is designed for super-users who move in the warehouse, view events and assist when needed.

Prerequisites

  1. The tasks for which you want to switch resources have been confirmed at source but not at destination.

  2. The resource to which you want to switch (the active resource) is qualified to perform the tasks.

Procedure

  1. From your presentation device, log on as a resource.

  2. From the Menu screen, choose Start of the navigation path Switch Next navigation step Switch resource End of the navigation path . The Switch resource (From) screen appears.

  3. Choose DfRs . The Define resource screen appears.

  4. Enter one of the following:

    1. Name of the worker resource element

    2. Name of the device resource element

    3. The number of the handling unit being processed

  6. Choose Ent . The number of the resource appears in the Resource field.

  7. If you know the number of the resource, you can enter it in the From Resource field of the Switch resource (From) screen.

  8. Choose Cnfr . You return to the Switch resource (From) screen.

  9. Choose List to view a list of reasons.

  10. Choose a reason.

  11. Choose Ent. The reason code appears in the Reason field .

  12. Choose Next . The Switch resource (To) screen appears.

  13. Repeat steps 3 – 6 for the active resource.

  14. Choose Save .

Result

The tasks are now assigned to the active resource, who can access them by choosing Start of the navigation path Switch Next navigation step Get switched tasks End of the navigation path from the Menu screen.
