Definition

Resource elements are the physical workers or devices which can form resources .

Use

Each resource element is of a specific resource element type that defines its role in the system. When all of the resource elements needed to form a resource log on to the system, a resource with a unique identification number becomes active.

The qualifications of resource elements, in conjunction with resource type qualifications, help determine the qualifications of the resources that they form. For more information, see Example: Determination of Resource Qualifications .
