Logging a Resource on to the System You are defined as a resource element .
You have an allowed or default resource element type .
If the role check is deactivated, an allowed resource element type is optional.

From the
SAP Easy Access
menu, choose

The
Logon
screen
appears, displaying the following:
Default site
Default worker role (if you have one)
Default presentation device
If the chosen role requires a device, scan or enter the name of the device. If the chosen role does not require a device, enter the resource type that you want to join.

If you previously entered a device, the default resource type of the device appears in the
Resrce type
field. You can enter another resource type if desired.

. The
Menu
screen appears.
You are logged on as an element of a resource with a unique identification number. You are now able to perform tasks and raise exceptions.
If you logged on with a device resource element for which a presentation device and personalization is defined, the system uses the device’s presentation device and personalization.
If you logged on with a device resource element and entered a specific presentation device pursuant to step 2 above, the system uses this presentation device. If you (worker resource element) do not have a default presentation device, this one will be used and saved as the default.
If you log on without a device, or with a device resource element for which neither a presentation device nor personalization is defined, the system uses your (worker resource element’s) presentation device and personalization.
