Retrieve Money from Expired Layaway

Use this function when a customer has made a down payment but the layaway expiration date of the customer's layaway is exceeded.

To retrieve money from expired layaways, proceed as follows:

• Press the corresponding button.
• Search for the layaway order by receipt date, store, POS number, and receipt number.
  Note:

  The receipt number can be scanned via the barcode on the layaway receipt.
• If a down payment exists for the layaway, the POS creates a negative down payment line item and proceeds to the payment screen.
• Pay out the down payment.
