Coupon

Coupons are used for triggering monetary conditions and conditions based on points. Other triggers may be required in combination with the coupon (defined items, customer cards, etc.).

Enter the coupon at any point during item entry. To do so, scan the coupon barcode or call the corresponding function from the menu Customers / Discounts. In the following mask, you are prompted to enter the coupon number.

The discounts defined by the promotion parameters are granted on the respective items. This is shown in the receipt preview.

It may be the case that an entered coupon is not consumed (e.g. because no promotion exists or additional triggers are missing). You can use the function Show Unused Coupons to display a list of unused coupons. This allows you to know if you have to return a coupon to the customer.

Discount as a Gift Certificate or Coupon

Instead of a usual discount for immediate reduction of the receipt total, promotions can be granted as a gift certificate or coupon.

• Promotion gift certificate: This gift certificate is redeemable as a tender in the event of later purchases.
• Promotion coupon: This coupon can be used as a discount trigger in the event of later purchases.

If the promotion conditions are valid, the customer will be given a discount in the form of a gift certificate or coupon. The gift certificate or coupon is printed in addition to the usual sales receipt. This gift certificate or coupon can be presented in the event of later purchases at the time of checkout.

Discount as a Tender

A discount granted can also be used as a tender. If the promotion conditions are valid, the discount will be used as a tender for payment of the receipt. For this purpose, a corresponding coupon is scanned during payment.

Condition Value Input

If the promotion conditions are valid, the condition value is entered in a selection mask with prefilled values. Optionally, it is possible to directly fill in the desired discount.
