Tax Exempt Receipt / Tax Exempt Receipt Line Item

A function is available to mark the receipt or a receipt line item as tax exempt. The following behavior is possible:

• A customer can be assigned to the receipt during the function process. The following behavior can be configured:
• The customer card is entered.
• A customer search is performed.
• A reason for tax exemption can be entered via a selection list.
• It is possible to enter the customer's tax exempt ID.

Receipt related function behavior

• The complete receipt is marked as tax exempt.
• If the receipt is not yet marked as tax exempt, it is possible to enter a customer and a reason for tax exemption.
• If the receipt is already marked as tax exempt, tax exemption will be disabled by selecting the function.

Line item related function behavior

• Each time the function is called, one line item of the current receipt is marked as tax exempt. Multiple function call is possible. Therefore, several line items on a receipt can be marked as tax exempt.
• If the line item is already marked as tax exempt, tax exemption will be disabled by selecting the function.
• If tax exemption is not allowed for the line item, a warning dialog appears and the function is canceled.
