You are defined as a coordinator for all languages **** in transaction Translation Administration (LXE_MASTER).
Your translator profile has authorization object OBJL with the value 01 and authorization object WRKL with the value 01.
If you want to create an object list on the basis of a single transport request or piece list, you must create a transport request or piece list and fill it with all the objects that you want to translate. If you want to create an object list on the basis of several existing transport requests, make sure you know exactly which transport requests contain the objects that you want to translate.
You have set up the translation environment for all the target languages for which you want to run the evaluation.
If you want to run an evaluation with automatic distribution, you must define distribution parameters for each required target language.
The collections to be included in the evaluation must be assigned to translation graphs. If you want to run an evaluation with automatic distribution, the collections to be included in the evaluation must be assigned to translation graphs whose translation directions (that is, combinations of original, source, and target languages) must have status D (active with distribution).
The Create Object List and Create Evaluation functions on the Evaluations tab in transaction LXE_MASTER enable you to:
Create an object list just once
Create an evaluation just once
This is a two-step procedure. In the first step, you create an object list. In the second step, you create an evaluation on the basis of the object list that you created in the first step. You cannot use these functions on the Evaluations tab in LXE_MASTER to schedule an object list or evaluation to be created periodically, such as once a week.
As an alternative to creating an object list or evaluation on the Evaluations tab in LXE_MASTER, you can use report RS_LXE_EVALUATION_SCHEDULE to do the following:
Create an object list and evaluation via a single interface
Schedule an object list and evaluation to be created periodically, such as once a week
Goto
Schedule Evaluation
or choose
F5.The Schedule Translation Evaluation screen appears.
Mail on Error |
Select this checkbox if you want the system to send an e-mail if the evaluation terminates. To use this function, you must:
Mail on Completion |
Select this checkbox if you want the system to send an e-mail when the evaluation has finished. The prerequisites for using this function are the same as for Mail on Error, except that you must enter WL_DONE in the USAGE_KEY field in table LXE_MAIL. |
Clean Up Graph Assignments |
If the system contains deleted collections that are assigned to translation graphs, these assignments are deleted if you select this checkbox. You are advised to select this checkbox. |
Clean Up User Assignments |
If the system contains deleted collections that are assigned to translators, these assignments are deleted if you select this checkbox. You are advised to select this checkbox. |
Create Object List |
If you want to create a new object list for the evaluation, select this checkbox. If you do not want to create a new object list for the evaluation, do the following:
Refresh Terminology Domains |
To refresh the domains, select this checkbox. |
Description |
Enter a description of the object list in the Description field. Enter as meaningful a description as possible to help you recognize the object list again later. The text you enter here will appear in the Object Lists dialog box, which you access on the Evaluations tab in transaction LXE_MASTER by choosing Object Lists. |
Object Types |
If you intend to use the Translation Areas, Collections from Graphs, or Fixed Collections option to create the object list, then you must specify the object types to be included in the object list:
Translation Areas |
If you want the object list to contain objects from every single ABAP package in the system, choose Select and select translation area 999999. If you schedule the evaluation to run periodically, the current total of ABAP packages is always taken into account. For example, you specify translation area 999999 on Tuesday January 15, and schedule the evaluation to take place every Tuesday. On January 15, 4580 ABAP packages exist in the system, and objects in all of these packages are included in the object list. Three days later, developers create three new ABAP packages. On January 22, when the next scheduled evaluation takes place, objects in all 4583 ABAP packages are included in the object list. |
Collections from Graphs |
If you schedule the evaluation to run periodically, the current contents of the graphs you specify here are always taken into account. For example, you specify graph 001 Custom Development on Tuesday January 15, and schedule the evaluation to take place every Tuesday. On January 15, 25 collections are assigned to graph 001 and the objects in these collections are included in the object list. Three days later, a translation coordinator assigns 7 more collections to graph 001. On January 22, when the next scheduled evaluation takes place, 32 collections are assigned to graph 001 and the objects in these collections are included in the object list. |
Fixed Collections |
If you want the object list to contain objects from specific collections, choose Select and select the required collections in the Collections dialog box. This selection never changes. |
Transports |
If you want the object list to contain objects from one or more transport requests (or piece lists), choose Select and maintain the fields in the Transports/Piece Lists dialog box as follows:
Alternatively, if you have a list of transport requests or piece lists that you want to use as the basis for the object list, copy their names to your clipboard and choose Import from Clipboard. |
Description |
Enter as meaningful a description of the evaluation as possible in the Description field. The text you enter here will appear in the Evaluations dialog box, which you access on the Evaluations tab in transaction LXE_MASTER by choosing Evaluations. |
Worklist Number |
Use the input help to select an existing worklist number. Alternatively, you can enter a new worklist number. In this case, the text that you entered in the Description field (above) becomes the description of the evaluation and the worklist. If you want to change the description of the worklist itself, choose Worklists on the Evaluations tab in transaction LXE_MASTER and change the existing description. |
Fixed Object Lists |
If you want to create the evaluation on the basis of an object list that will be created in accordance with your settings in the Object List group box, you do not need to specify it in the Worklist group box. Simply select the Create Object List checkbox and maintain the various parameters in the Object List group box, as described above. When the report runs, the object list is created and then automatically used as the basis for the subsequent evaluation. If you want to create the evaluation on the basis of one or more object lists that already exist, choose Select and select the object lists that you require. Note that you can schedule an evaluation on the basis of the following:
Object Types |
You must specify the object types to be included in the evaluation.
Languages |
You must specify the target languages to be included in the evaluation.
Graphs |
You must specify the translation graphs to be included in the evaluation.
Create Statistics |
If you want the system to refresh the statistics immediately after the end of the evaluation, select this checkbox. |
Automatic Distribution |
If you want automatic distribution to take place during the evaluation, select this checkbox. |
Replace Existing Worklist |
If you want to replace the contents of an existing worklist, select this checkbox.
Preliminary Statistics |
If you want the system to refresh the statistics immediately before the start of the evaluation, select this checkbox. |
Parallel Language Jobs |
This field enables you to determine the number of background language jobs that your evaluation may use in parallel. The value that you enter here depends on the number of background processes that are available in the system. If in doubt, use the default value 3, which means that no more than 3 background language jobs will run at any given time. |
Parallelization Factor |
This field determines how the system executes parallelization for a target language with an increasing number of objects. You can enter a value between 0 and 9.
You are advised to use the default value 5. |
Activate RFC Copy |
For information on this function, see Copying Texts and Translation Data by RFC. |
RFC Destination |
See above. |
Exclude Languages |
See above. |
If you want the system to execute the report on a regular basis, such as once a week, select the Periodic Job checkbox in the Start Time dialog box and choose Period Values to determine how frequently the job runs.
The system executes the report in accordance with your parameters.
If you selected the Create Object List checkbox, see the Result section of Creating Object Lists for more information.
For more information on the results of an evaluation, see the Result section of Creating Evaluations.
