
The objective of the work item display is to display all the information and activities that are relevant to an end user in the environment of the displayed work item in a clear and concise manner.
A technical work item display with additional information is available for work items.
The standard view of the work item display can be shown with or without ActiveX.
You make the setting for the display variant of the work item display used as standard in your personal workflow settings.
The work item display specifically for displaying the dialog work items. It contains details about deadlines, statuses, agents, attachments and linked objects for a work item.
The work item display is spread across the following tab pages.
Customer-Defined Tab Page for Work Item Display
You can create an individual tab page. This is visible as the first tab page when the work item display is called.
Functions on the application toolbar
The following list contains all possible functions that can be available for a work item. Depending on the workflow definition, work item type and status, only the functions that can be executed are displayed or a work item.
With this you can execute a work item that has either the status ready or the status in process.
When a dialog work item is executed, the object method to which the task for this work item refers is executed.
When a missed deadline work item is executed, the most important information is displayed via the monitored work item.
If a return value was returned to the workflow system when the work item is executed by the executing method, you can display it.
With this you can forward the work item to other users. For more information, see Forwarding Work Items.
With this you can resubmit the work item at a later date. For more information, see Workflow Resubmission.
End Resubmission
With this you can replace the work item in the resubmission back in your workflow inbox. At the same time, the work item is set to the status Reserved whereby it only appears in your workflow inbox.
With this you change the priority of the work item. For more information, see change priority.
With this all the deadlines of the work item are displayed and you can change them. For more information, see deadline changes.
Display
With this you can display the work item attachments. For more information, see Attachment Management.
Create
With this you can create a work item attachment. For more information, see Attachment Management.
Reserve
With this you can reserve a dialog work item with the status ready for processing. This work item can thus no longer be executed by the usual recipient of the work item. The status of the work item changes from ready to reserved.
Replace
With this you can make a work item, that you have reserved for processing, available to all recipients for processing again. All recipients can execute the work item again. The status of the work item changes from reserved to ready.
With this you can reject processing of a work item. For more information, see reject execution.
Set to done
With this you can complete a work item that has to be explicitly completed. For more information, see set work items to done.
With this you send a mail to a user. For more information, see send mail.
Log
You use this function to go to the view of the relevant workflow log. For more information, see workflow log.
Graphics

Additional functions in the menus
Work item > Create link
With this you create a link to the work item in the folder or your Business Workplace. For more information, see create link.
Goto > Agent
With this you receive an overview of the following users:
Users who have the work item in their workflow inbox
Users who are potentially allowed to execute it
Users who are explicitly excluded from execution

With this you can execute secondary methods of the step that the work item refers to.
Goto > Workflow description
With this you get a description of the workflow to which the work item belongs.
Extras > Display task
With this you receive the definition of the task or workflow that the work item refers to. For more information on the task definition see definition of a task and for workflow definition see

Extras > Technical data
With this you receive further technical details for the work item displayed, for example the work item ID or the ID of the superordinate work item.
