Activation of Work Clearance Management for Orders

Use

In order to ensure that safety measures are performed for tasks, you must activate work clearance management for maintenance orders. These orders are marked as WCM-relevant orders.

Prerequisites

In Customizing for Work Clearance Management you have configured work clearance management for the planning plant of the order.

Features

There are two ways to activate work clearance management:

  • Through approvals that you assign to the order and have configured in Customizing such that work clearance management is activated

  • Through operations in orders with the control key WCM

    Note Note

As approvals can also be automatically assigned to an order using technical objects, work clearance management can also be activated automatically:

You have assigned an approval to a technical object. The approval is set up in Customizing such that it activates work clearance management. In addition, you have defined that this approval in the technical object is copied to the order as default value.

If you create an order for this technical object, the approval of the technical object is automatically copied as the default value, thereby automatically activating work clearance management in the order.

    End of the note.

    Caution Caution

If you have activated valuation , it also holds that a partially performed valuation prohibits a cancellation of the activation.

As soon as release for execution has been issued, you can no longer cancel the activation.

If you have activated work clearance management at operation level , it also holds that you can no longer cancel the activation under the following conditions:

    End of the caution.

Activities

If you have activated work clearance management, the WC Application pushbutton appears in the application toolbar of the standard model , and the Work Approval pushbutton appears in the enhanced model .

Note Note

If you have also activated valuation, you must have performed the valuation before the pushbutton appears.

End of the note.
