 Enhanced Model

Definition

A model structure that defines the relationships between the following WCM objects :

Use

Use of the enhanced model is advisable if the system should be used to track other safety measures , such as radiation protection, worker safety, and fire protection, in addition to lockout/tagout .

Work permit management assumes the enhanced model.

The architecture of the enhanced model is as follows:

Note the following assignment rules:

  • A work approval can be assigned to several orders. However, an order can only ever be assigned to one work approval. (Assignment rule R3)

  • An application can be assigned to several work approvals, and vice versa. (Assignment rule R4)

  • A work approval can be assigned to several applications of an application type. For example, it is possible for several work clearance applications to be assigned to one work approval. (Assignment rule R5)

  • A work clearance application can be assigned to several Operational WCDs, and vice versa. (Assignment rule R2)

If you work with work permits , the following additional restrictions apply:

  • A work approval can only be assigned to one order. An order can only be assigned to one work approval. (Restriction for assignment rule R3)

  • An application can only be assigned to one work approval, and only if work permits are created for an operation.

    One work approval can, however, be assigned to several applications. (Restriction for assignment rule R4)
