  Work Clearance Application

Definition

A WCM object in Work Clearance Management . The work clearance application is the safety certificate especially for lockout/tagout .

Use

It is used to control order processing with lockout/tagout and groups together Operational WCDs . These are controlled and monitored by the work clearance application.

In the work clearance application, you can define which Operational WCDs are to be created automatically .

Structure

Standard Model

In the standard model , a work clearance application is used to control communication between WCM-relevant orders and Operational WCDs. Through its direct assignment to the orders, the work clearance application uses the approval status to control the issue of “release for execution” in the WCM-relevant order.

Note Note

Note the following assignment rules:

  • A work clearance application can be assigned to several orders. However, an order can only be assigned to one work clearance application. (Assignment rule R1)

  • A work clearance application can be assigned to several Operational WCDs, and vice versa. (Assignment rule R2)

End of the note.
Enhanced Model

In the enhanced model , a work clearance application is used to control communication between work approvals and Operational WCDs. It is subordinate to the work approval.

Note Note

Note the following assignment rules:

  • An application can be assigned to several work approvals, and vice versa. (Assignment rule R4)

  • A work approval can be assigned to several applications of an application type. For example, it is possible for several work clearance applications to be assigned to one work approval. (Assignment rule R5)

  • A work clearance application can be assigned to several Operational WCDs, and vice versa. (Assignment rule R2)

If you work with work permits , the following additional restriction applies:

  • An application can only be assigned to one work approval, and only if work permits are created for an operation. One work approval can, however, be assigned to several applications. (Restriction for assignment rule R4)
