The integration of manufacturing orders(production and process orders) allows you to plan your critical components in SAP APO and uncritical components in SAP R/3.
As a rule, the planned orders created in SAP APO are converted into manufacturing orders.
You process these orders in SAP R/3. There, the following steps are carried out:
Release
Confirmation or partial confirmation
Posting of goods issue or goods receipt
Technical completion
Deletion of the manufacturing order
This information is transferred to
SAP APO
. Each change to the order in
SAP R/3
results in a data transfer to
SAP APO
.
Dates, BOM data, and routing data may also change during the lifetime of the manufacturing order. Changes made in
SAP R/3
are transferred online to
SAP APO
via the
APO Core Interface
(CIF) so that the current status of the order is always available to planning and optimization in
SAP APO
.
The following is an example of the process with integrated manufacturing orders in
SAP R/3
and
SAP APO
:
A manufacturing order is created.
The manufacturing order is either created directly in
SAP R/3
or by the conversion of a planned order in
SAP APO
.
See Convert a Planned Order into a Manufacturing Order and Convert Planned Orders from SAP APO .
A manufacturing order is released in
SAP R/3
.
The goods issue for the manufacturing order is posted in
SAP R/3
.
The manufacturing order is confirmed or partially confirmed in
SAP R/3
.
The goods receipt for the manufacturing order is posted in
SAP R/3
.
The manufacturing order is technically completed in
SAP R/3
. This causes it to be deleted in
SAP APO
.
The manufacturing order is deleted in
SAP R/3
.
