Function documentationGeneral Functions in the OPM Workbenches

You can use general functions that are available in several (or all) of the workbenches in order proposal management (OPM):

Note Note

You can create and process order proposal items in all workbenches, but the entry point and execution differ between workbenches. For more information, see:

End of the note.
  • Rounding

If you have activated automatic rounding in the toolbar, you can round every entry or change of an order proposal quantity automatically. Users require the appropriate authorization to use the Rounding pushbutton to disable automatic rounding.

The system rounds quantities based on the order proposal quantity and the unit of measure. It also updates the dependent data (factor for conversion to base unit, purchase price, sales price).

The Rounding Status column clearly shows whether the system has rounded a value. If so, you can open a rounding log, where you have options such as:

    • Displaying the rounded and non-rounded quantity, minimum order quantity, and rounding limits

    • Displaying the assigned rounding profile

For more information, see Rounding Profiles.

    • Display the rounding rules with the current rounding status

    • Display the detail information for the units of measure for the selected products and edit the location-specific UoM group (or select a different group)

  • Calculation details

The system displays details from calculation by the F&R Processor. This enables replenishment planners to trace how the system calculated the corresponding quantities in the order proposal item. In particular, the following information is available:

    • Requirement calculation

This tab page shows information for requirement calculation, such as the stock period and demand periods that SAP F&R took into account during calculation and optimization (for example, the number of days from demand periods).

    • Replenishment parameters

This tab page shows the static and dynamic parameters for calculation by the F&R Processor.

    • Consumption statistics

This tab page shows information about the characteristics of the location product that affect demand, such as the number of historical consumption figures, average consumption, number of days with zero consumption and zero stock. By displaying these characteristics, the replenishment planner can analyze the consumption of a location product.

    • Grouping and profiles

This tab page shows information about the type of grouping and profiles used.

  • Change source of supply

The system shows whether or not the source of supply of the selected location product is the standard source of supply. You can also select a different source of supply (to create a new order proposal, however), in accordance with the defined transportation lanes. For more information, see Supply Network.

  • Display ranges of coverage

The range of coverage indicates how many days the stock will last. To calculate the range of coverage, the system takes the forecasted sales into account, along with planned goods receipts (optional). For more information, see Stock Projection.

  • Display DIF occurrences

You can display detailed information of DIF occurrences that exist for the destination location of the selected product. For more information, see Demand Influencing Factors (DIFs).

  • Display master data

You can display detail data for the source and destination locations (such as address, calendar, and profile information), for the product and location product (such as replenishment parameters), and for the transportation lane (such as parameters for requirement quantity optimization).

  • Display the consignment indicator

SAP F&R displays whether or not a project involves consignment. This function is not available in the Replenishment Workbench for Stores.

  • Contract information

The system indicates whether the selected location product is assigned a contract, for example, and provides detailed information about the assigned contract or (depending on contract Customizing) about potentially available contracts. For more information, see Using Contract Information in Order Proposal Items.

  • Product substitution data

The system shows whether the selected location product is the original product of a substitution assignment, example, and whether an active changeover to a follow-up product or replacement product took place, as well as whether the location product itself is an active follow-up product or replacement product. For more information, see Processing of Order Proposals in Product Substitution.

  • Procurement cycle information

You may find it useful to review detailed procurement cycle information, for example, the upcoming order dates and delivery dates in the Replenishment Workbench (RWB). You can view the information from the corresponding procurement cycle in the RWB, Product Workbench (PWB), and in cause determination.

Note that you can only navigate to the procurement cycle information if you have activated the business function SCM-FRE, Replenishment and Optimization in F&R (SCM_FRE_OPTIM).
