You can use this function to release order proposals that were not released automatically for transport to downstream systems.
The forecasting and replenishment process in SAP F&R is complete.
To manually release order proposals that have not been released yet, you first have to process them in the Replenishment Workbench. You have the following options:
Check items
Communicate with people involved (for example, by e-mail)
Change order proposals and order proposal items
Check restrictions (for optimization and release)
Check exceptions
If SAP F&R is to release an order proposal, all order proposal items contained in it must be released.
After processing in the Replenishment Workbench, you can manually release the order proposals that were not released automatically in the Replenishment Workbench or use the release order proposals manually
with the mass release function.
Checking release conditions
The system can check an order proposal for the release conditions that you have defined. To do so, choose Check Release Conditions
in the Replenishment Workbench. If a release condition has not been met, the system creates an exception. The system only changes the release status of the order proposal items or order proposal if the status gets worse.
Manual release of order proposals
The Replenishment Workbench screen displays information about why the order proposal was not released automatically and whether applied restrictions were observed. You can process the order proposals and then release them manually. SAP F&R then transports the order proposals to the purchasing system for further processing. Once the order proposals have been transported, you cannot make any more changes to them in SAP F&R.
The following options are available for releasing order proposals manually:
Release in the Replenishment Workbench
Use the Replenishment Workbench to release individual order proposals.
Note
When you release an order proposal manually, there is no release check.
Mass release
To release multiple order proposals, go to the SAP Easy Access
screen and choose . You can define the options for the release here, for example, you can define the number of objects to transfer, include the transfer of order proposals after release, and define the criteria for parallel processing (note: the number of parallel processes is limited by the number of parallel processors in the server group).
Note
Releasing the order proposal (changing its status) does not cause it to be sent to the downstream system. You have the following options:
Schedule /FRE/BIF_INB01
as a background job:
On the SAP Easy Access
screen, choose .
You start the transfer explicitly in interface processing.
You transfer the order proposal directly in the Replenishment Workbench.
For more information, see Direct Transfer of Order Proposals.
