Function documentation Create Account Locate the document in its SAP Library structure

Use

This function is used to create new accounts.

You can create accounts in the following channels in the system:

·        SAP Graphical User Interface (SAP GUI)

·        Business Application Programming Interface (BAPI)

·        Direct Input (DI)

The checks that run during this process are not dependent on the channel since the Business Data Toolset (BDT) is used.

Integration

An account is created by linking contract elements to a business partner.

For more information, see the Contract Management component and the Account business object.

During the processing of an account creation, the related release object and different authorization objects control the program flow.

You can find the corresponding system settings and other information about the release process and authorizations in the Implementation Guide (IMG) for Account Management (FS-AM) under:

·        Account Management ® Contract Management ® General Settings ® Release in the Contract.

·        Account Management ® Basic Settings ® Authorizations.

Note

The system generates a work item for the release process if the relevant Customizing settings have been made. For more information, see the Structure linkFramework for the Principle of Dual Control (CA-GTF-TS-PDC) and Structure linkSAP Business Workplace sections.

Prerequisites

·        You have created the account holder as an SAP business partner and assigned the business partner roles of account holder and correspondence recipient to him or her.

·        If you wish to assign a general alternative business partner to the account, you must assign the correspondence recipient business partner role to the business partner first.

·        You have set up the contract-managing organizational unit and made the settings for this in Customizing for Account Management under Basic Settings ® Organization.

·        You have chosen an account product that has the product version status Active on the contract start date. To check this, choose the Display Account Product function.

·        You have made the setting for the account number in Customizing for Account Management (FS-AM) by choosing Contract Management ® Account ® Account Number. Note that these settings are dependent on the bank key assigned to the contract-managing organizational unit.

Procedure

       1.      On the SAP Easy Access screen, choose Account Management ® Account ® Account Master Data ® Create Account.

       2.      Specify the account identification data.

Note

The account identification is dependent on the settings you made in Customizing for Account Management (FS-AM) under Contract Management ® Account ® Define Account Identification. You cannot change these settings once the first account has been created.

       3.      Choose Continue.

The system displays the next screen with the different tab pages that are available. These tab pages contain fields grouped by business topic. Depending on the account product of the account you have selected, the system displays all or just some of the tab pages listed below:

·         Savings Book

·         Time Deposit

·         Savings Scheme Agreement
