Editing Features 
On the Features tab page you make settings for the features and feature locks of an account contract.
In the Features group box you can activate or deactivate attributes from the Feature attribute category on the basis of the characteristics preset by the product. This means you can choose to permit or not permit features for the account.
In the Feature Locks group box, you can set or remove feature locks for the account, as long as Posting Lock Management (PLM) is not active. If PLM is active, you can only set or remove a feature lock by creating a PLM document.
In the Attribute Derivation group frame, you determine whether attribute derivation is suppressed for individual target attributes. For more information on attribute derivation, refer to the Attribute Derivation document.
The settings in the account product permit the feature to be changed (the padlock for the feature is open). For more information, refer to the Customizing for Account Management (FS-AM) and choose Product Management ® Product Definition ® Account Products.
· You have defined feature locks in the Customizing for Account Management (FS-AM) under Contract Management ® Account ® Edit Feature Locks of Account Contract.

Posting Lock Management (FS-AM-PLM) is
not active.
You can determine whether or not Posting Lock Management is active in the
Customizing for Account Management (FS-AM) under Basic Settings ® Activate Special Components.
You have defined target and source attributes in the Customizing for Account Management under Product Management ® Product Definition ® Product Categories ®Edit Attributes for Account Products.
You have defined derivation rules for the attribute derivation for target attributes in the Customizing for Account Management under Product Management ® Product Definition ® Product Categories ® Account Products ® Create Account Product or Change Account Product.

1. To edit features, choose the Detail button in the Features group box.
The Features screen appears where you can see the features that have been activated for the account with green traffic lights and open or closed padlocks. The account inherits these settings from the product. The features that are deactivated in the product are hidden in the contract.
2. You can activate (green traffic light) or deactivate (red traffic light) all changeable features (open padlock) by clicking on the traffic light.

The decision as to whether you can activate or deactivate features depends on the status of the contract when it is processed, as well as the product settings.
For more information, choose the Information button next to Edit Features.
3. Choose Continue.
You return to the Features group box.
4. Choose Save.
5. To display the current features, choose the Display button in the Features group box.
The All Features screen then appears.
You can see the features that have been activated and deactivated for the account with green and red traffic lights. These current settings are determined from any feature locks set and the settings you made.

1. In the Feature Locks group box, use the input help to select the feature lock you want to set for the account. To remove a feature lock, select the lock and choose Remove Lock.
2. To display all locked features belonging to a particular feature lock, select the feature lock and choose Locked Features.
3. Choose Save.
You can find more information on permitted and non-permitted features predefined by the product, as well as on the position of the padlock, in the Displaying an Account Product section.
Set or remove the Suppress Attribute Derivation indicator for the respective target attributes. If the indicator is set, the attribute in question is not included in the attribute derivation.

If you set or remove the indicator for suppressing attribute derivation, the system does not include this change to the attribute derivation until you check or save the account.
