The user chooses the Create function to start a task which displays objects to be specified of a previously selected object class. Of course, only existing data records can be displayed. With the function Display, the data cannot be edited.
Like
Create (Function), Change (Function) and Other <object> (Function), Display navigates to the initial screen of the task.Accessing the display mode with this function, the user can use the Display <-> Change function to access the editing mode without having to change the screen. Thus, the function
Display <-> Change (Function), which appears as an option in the <object> menu, continues to refer to the previously processed object. If the user has chosen this function, then the menu option is not active on the corresponding data screens, that is, the menu option is dimmed in the pull-down menu. The user can then restart the chosen function for another object with Other <object> (Function).
If Display is chosen within a task, a confirmation prompt is displayed if data has not been saved and may be lost. If the data is saved, checks are performed (see
Exit or End <application> (Function)).
