Creating Views
When you execute the Create View
function, you are already in a work environment context of the Clinical Work Station, i.e. the new view will be assigned to this work environment.
Note the information relating to key generation when creating a new view.
Call the clinical work station.
For information about this, see Calling Clinical Work Station/Care Unit Work Station or Calling Outpatient Clinic/Service Facility Work Station.
Position the cursor beside a view or on a work environment.
Procedure using More Views
In the context menu, choose More Views
.
The View Selection
dialog box appears.
Choose New View
.
Procedure using Maintain Work Environment
In the context menu, choose Maintain Work Environment
.
The Change Work Environment
dialog box appears.
Position the cursor on a view type (occupancy, departures, arrivals, for example), call the context menu, and choose Create View
.
The Create View
dialog box appears for you to define the view attributes and the data for the assignment to the work environment. The view type determines the data type and then all other information, such as selection variant, layout and function variant.
Choose a view type from the value help.
Give the view a name in the View
field.
You define selection variants, layouts and function variants for each view. You have to enter a selection variant for each view regardless of the view type. The function variant and layout fields are optional.
For information about editing selection variations, layouts and function variants, see
Enter the name of the selection variant - unique to this view type - in the relevant entry field (make your selection from the value help). For more information about this, see Tips on Setting Up the Care Unit Work Station.
Proceed in a similar fashion for the layout and the function variant.
Enter the text (assignment details is a required entry field). The system outputs this text on the pushbutton for the view in the work environment. You can assign a priority and select Default
, if required.
Save the view.
The view you have created is available in the work environment.
