Indicator: SAP_INSTANCE_NUMBER

Definition

The SAP Instance Number (00-97) of the SAP CC system instance in its host

Description and Use

This indicator informs about the SAP Instance Number assigned to an instance of your deployed SAP CC Core Server system. This two-digit number depends on the machine that hosts this instance of the SAP CC system. The SAPinst user interface of SAP Convergent Charging assigns this number.

In SAP CC, you use this number to define the SAP Instance Name (see the SAP_INSTANCE_NAME indicator of an SAP CC system instance to identify the installation directory of the instance.

The SAP CC Core Server system is an SAP system with distributed instances and hosts. You manage the distribution and deployment of the instances to the hosts.

An SAP Instance Number is unique in a host. It is not unique in an SAP CC Core Server system deployed on multiple hosts.

Caution

The SAP Instance Number is not the single digit used in the definition of the instance ID. Make sure that you understand both concepts.

Syntax and Constraints

The value is an integer with two digits between 00 and 97.
