Indicator: SAP_INSTANCE_NAME

Definition

The SAP Instance Name of the SAP CC system instance in its host

Description and Use

This indicator informs about the SAP Instance Name assigned to an instance of the SAP CC Core Server system in your SAP system landscape. This identification codename depends on the machine that hosts a particular SAP CC system instance. In a multihost deployment, the SAP Instance Name may be not unique.

You use this identification key to define the installation directory of the corresponding instance in its host.

Note

The SAP Instance Name is not the instance name displayed in the SAP CC Admin+ user interface.

Syntax and Constraints

The value is the concatenation of the following:

  • A three-letter prefix that depends on the type of the SAP CC system instance:

    • CCB: bulkloader instances
    • CCD: dispatcher instance type
    • CCG: guider
    • CCR: rater
    • CCT: taxer
    • CCU: updater

These key words are dedicated to the SAP Convergent Charging software (IS-CC).

  • Two digits of the SAP Instance Number assigned to the corresponding SAP CC system instance deployed in a particular host; see the SAP_INSTANCE_NUMBER indicator.

Example

The CCD33 identification key relates to:

  • a dispatcher instance in an SAP CC Core Server system
  • the instance number 33 in its host

The first installed dispatcher instance is available in the SAP Global Host of your SAP CC system.
