Working Area

Definition

A working area is an area of the warehouse, located between two zones or zone groups, that is defined for administrative purposes to organize the work of resources in specific areas of the warehouse.

Use

In Customizing, you define working areas and assign them to resource types .

Caution Caution

If you do not assign any working areas to a resource type, the resource type will not be active and no resource element can log on as this resource type.

Using the TRM Monitor , you can:

  • Assign working area priorities to resource types via the Change qualification priority method.

  • Assign working areas and their priorities to resource elements .

Note Note

If you do not assign any working areas to a resource element, the resultant resource inherits its working area qualifications from the resource type.
