You have made the necessary settings in the
Disposal Processing
section ofCustomizing for
Waste Management
.
You have entered data as required in the SAP components and made the required settings in Customizing for the SAP components that you want to use for the integration.
You have entered data as required in the basic data and master data .
The following process flow is an example of a typical process in the SAP
disposal processing
component with integration in other SAP components (
Materials Management, Warehouse Management
,
batch management
Controlling
Financial Accounting)
You may not need to execute all the steps in your enterprise, for example, if you do not use integration in a particular
SAP component.
You create an
entry document
.In the entry document, you document which waste generator generated which
waste
and when, and the quantity of waste that was produced. You can also create the entry document without a waste quantity and add the waste quantity later. To make it easier for you to create entry documents, there is an
entry tool
available to you in
disposal processing
.Via a second, simpler screen you can also enter the most important entry document data quickly and easily, for example directly in the production hall (see
Easy Entry
).
You edit the entry document you created by adding the following data to it, for example:
a. You assign a waste disposer and, if required, more waste management business partners to the entry document (see Assigning Additional Waste Management Business Partners ).
b. You enter more data, such as account assignment objects, which is required for integration in the other SAP components (see Entering Account Assignment Objects ).
c. If necessary, you enter the required data that documents the origin of the waste (see Entering the Waste Origin ).

For processing, you can
search for
entry documents in
disposal processing
using various search criteria.
If required, you split the entry document. This means that you create two or more new entry documents from an entry document (see Entry Document Split ).You can also execute this function for entry documents that have been posted or whose posting has been changed.
You post the waste quantity from the entry document to
inventory management
in the SAP
Materials Management
component and if required to a
storage bin
in
Warehouse Management
(
Warehouse Management System
, see also
Post
).
If required, you carry out one of the following transfer postings:
You post the waste quantity in
inventory management
from one
storage location to another, from one
plant
to another, or from one
stock type to another (see
Post Change
).
You transfer the waste quantity from one storage bin to another in
Warehouse Management
(see
Storage Bin Transfer
).
You clear the waste quantity from
inventory management
and if required from
Warehouse Management
too, and at the same time, create a purchase order for the disposal (see
Order & Clear
).

If you have not posted the waste quantity to
inventory management
and just want to order the disposal, you can do so with the
purchase order
function. However, you also have to adjust the status profile in the standard system (see
Setting Entry Document Statuses
).
If you only clear the waste quantity and do not want to order a disposal, you can do this with the
Clear
function.
If required, you can cancel the material documents in
inventory management
that were created using the Post,
Clear,
or Order & Clear
functions from Waste Management
(see
Material Document Cancellation
).
From
disposal processing
, you create a
disposal document
and specify a
waste approval
for it if required (see
Creation of a Disposal Document
).

You can also create disposal documents in the SAP disposal documents component.
The system posts the data and creates the required documents (such as material documents) (see, for example, The Document Concept ).For the entry documents from which at least one follow-on document of this type has been produced, the system creates a follow-on document record in which it automatically assigns the follow-on documents to the entry document. As a result, the processing steps are documented and dependencies are specified (see Automatic Creation of Follow-On Document Records ).
In
disposal processing,
various
display functions
are available, which you can use to display entry documents, follow-on documents, and stock in order to track processing steps and check results.
After executing disposal processing, you can, if required, perform further functions in the following SAP
Waste Management
components:
In the SAP disposal documents component, you can, for example, monitor the disposal document return leg.
In the SAP reporting component, you can create reports, such as waste life-cycle analyses.
