Multi-Safe Support

If multi-safe support is intended to be used, then the complete safe structure has to be maintained in the Safe Maintenance UI function before any safe-relevant operations are performed. It is not allowed to maintain safes only partially. Additionally, the drawer assignment (drawers to the selected safe) has to be maintained correctly to define the inbound and outbound safe for the drawers:

  • Inbound safe: Defines the safe where money flows from the drawer to the safe, i.e. which safe is used for entering tender pickup or automatic pickups during accounting for the drawer
  • Outbound safe: Defines the safe where money flows from the safe to the drawer, i.e. which safe is used for loan/change for the drawer
  • The drawer/safe assignment (inbound/outbound) can be defined in the Drawer Maintenance function as well.

If the safe is already in use and the multi-safe structure is to be introduced, then the complete safe structure has to be maintained in Safe Maintenance first, and afterwards, the money of the default safe (safe number = 0) has to be cleared by being transferred from the default safe to the new maintained safe (see Safe Transfer function).
